my msn is down. apparently, the router blocking has affected the msn port. how sad. have to survive on e-messenger for a couple more days.

during the examination period, "screwed" "die" "fail" are often words being used by students. however, to each individual using them, there's a different connotation to it, though they SEEM to sound the same.

firstly, the extremely pro and smart pple will say "i'm screwed" after stepping out of the examination hall. this would be usually followed by :"i lost 2 marks already" or "i dont know how to that last part." this is usually based on the fact that some pple didnt do 20+ marks. thus, in this context, it is evident that their definition of "failing" their exams are probably anything short of full marks.

then, there are the average people, like me. when such pple say that they are going to fail, they mean it. when one can leave 6 mcq blank out of 30, it sure shows one capabilities. another good indication is when one cannot do 40 out of 100 marks in a paper, have a 50% chance of getting 30 of the remaining 60 correct. occassionally, this is coupled with the fact that parents of pple in this catergory tend to expect perfect results and consistently shower them wif words of encouragement such as "if u dont get 4As, you will have to waste another 3 years in poly." thus there have been cases where pple have been reported to develop signs of mental instability.

anyway, my point is that pple shuld really stop mis-using the word "screwed" or "fail" in examination contexts. pple who are in the 1st catergory (and they know perfectly who they are) shuld stop insisting that they fail. n of coz stop they should stop sprouting utter nonsense and cease proclaiming that they wont get gd marks, when their scripts would contain nothing but ticks only. it simply gets on the nerves on pple who are in the 2nd catergory.

oh yeah, watched FF VII Advent Children. it's a movie of the classic RPG, FF VII. FF VII was like one of my 1st ever games i played. never did i know, that it would be the one of the best. i think i played FF 7 like 3 or 4 times over already, and i was NEVER once sick of it. maybe it's the intricate plot that spellbinds pple? or is it the action and battle system? or just the many secrets just waiting to be discovered? it's simply undescribable. anyway, one shuld go watch the cutscene at the end of the playing disc 1. it's good.
anyway, the movie lasted abt 1 hour 41 mins. but i spend about 3 hours in total. just kept re-watching certain parts. probably gonna re-watch soon too.

in the author's living years thus far, if there's only watch 1 movie he can watch and only 1 game he can play, wat would it be?

it's a nice n cool weather tonight after a raging storm. gd thing, i slept through it, though i had wierd alternate dimension viewing.. maybe i was having an extremely wierd dream or wat..
but anyway, done wif econs paper 3! YAY!!! considering it's the 1st time i writing 3 bloody essays straight, i think it would be rather decent. but probably lacking in depth, but covering enuff scope. will have some marks at least i hope. maths C was okay.. despite not practicising much, was able to do a fair bit of the questions. the aim is not to get 10 out of 10 correct, but 8 out of 10, so can heck care a bit. :)
anyway, smtg rather "interesting" happen during maf. on that night, on one of my many trips to cooler for water, i passed a fren of mine. then a moment of inspiration struck me, i dragged him aside from his class, and told him audibly but out of ear shot of his clsmates, to ask his fellow female clsmate for a dance. then after that, i went away and continue to enjoy maf n blah blah blah...
so today, i asked him whether he really asked her for a dance. but he out-manuovered me. he did ask the girl. but wat he said was that I was asking him to ask the girl asking whether I can dance wif her. -_- well done. and worse still, he did it on purpose... wth...

just back from maf 05. as predicted, practically no one from my class went, so it was a bit of sian.. only 4 - 5 went. but gd thing had a mad junior n many seniors. so it was still quite rowdy n enjoyable. but i think i mugged too much. gt sore voice after like a few songs.. had to keep on going to water cooler to soothe my throat...
wanted to dance a bit.. but sadly couldnt find anyone :(
this year i thot the fountain n star star thingy was nicer than last year's, but the atmosphere seemed like less enthusiasm. last year, i rmb-ed running a lot, taking photos, talking to pple and all. n enjoying during song n dance. but this year, like eh stone here, stone there. only met a few pple.. then talk a bit nia... like more sian. maybe i'm been transformed into sian-ness by mugging spree... :(
took a few pics here n there as well.. i guess i'll prob come back nxt year, but once again, it would be the same old pple year in year out lar.. so oh well..
okay.. mugging has been relatively effective, except i failed to cover my mechanics. how sad.. but that's my worry for nxt week. shall do more practice paper for maths n econs essay practice tml..
my parents are probably expecting 4 As or wat... well, it's not THAT impossible, but i'll try my best.. wat else i can do?

muggin takes away all the chance to keep in touch wif frens n all. everybody is like mug mug mug. maybe those that still keep in contact are those that truly can be gd frens wif... sadly, life is ironic. a few of those that i wanna talk to, doesn't wanna talk much wif me.. even if do, it's on such a shallow level. just ask abt studying progress, blah blah blah.. maybe pple r busy or wat? but when u r on msn, u shuld be kinda free eh?

no doubt that i have more frens, and better ones even now than compared to the past. but i do cherish all. frens i had, frens i have now, frens i will have. wat troubles me is in the "had" catergory... consistently thinking of how to salvage things.. thinking of how to totally newly befriend a person again. but to no avail. so how? give up? i hate giving up. but sometimes to make it work, it really takes 2 hand to clap. no matter how hard i swat and swipe wif one hand, it wont create anything.

my left wrist hurts. caused by unknown reasons. zzz... just rambling on a flow of conscious now...

oh yeah, celebrated my bro's bdae on tuesday. went back to the tuas place, where there was gd food :D they changed the menu, and included sashimi and pork floss soft shell crab. my bro ordered kinda ordered 1 too many crabs, and everyone had to help eat them. though they were very nice, but still, moderation is good. oh yeah, they oso had this coffee pork ribs, which my mum loves a lot. she's a coffee fan, maybe that explains why eh?

gt a few more days left to the start of prelims. gt a lot of more things to study n do. i realise that i'm still wasting a lot of time doing on dota, maple and etc. shall not dota anymore till end of prelims. shall strictly cut down on maple. :(

more impt, i think i have to get my slping cycle back. it's kinda screwed up now.. especially in face of the upcoming morning papers. to be at the peak when required in the morning, i got to stop being out so late.

oh yes, one interesting thing happened today. i was on 171 to lunch wif my fren today. so i sat at the outer seat above the rear wheel of the bus. there was a NJ girl right at the back of the bus, which i totally do not know at all. okay... the link is that, at orchard mrt station there, the girl gt off the bus. but b4 she got off, she tapped my shoulders and waved at me. the 1st thing i did was to wave back. conditioned reflex of courtesy :) the nxt thing i felt was extreme puzzlement. maybe she looked kinda familiar? but i dont really have a that strong recollection of ever see-ing her b4. it's not spooky.. but it's quite weird? but highly amusing. oh yeah, one more thing, the girl rather chio as well :D

my mugging spree has been broken for 3 days :(
fri, sat, sun = no mood
weekends are very inhibiting for studying.. so ended up playing a lot lot, sleeping very very late (like 6am -_-) n other stuff..
so have left 7 days.. and for once in my entire studying life, i kinda feel that there's isn't enuff time left to sufficently prepare myself.
the brief outline for the upcoming week will be as follows
mon -- phys tutorials X 5
tues -- Finish econs/ phys remedial
wed -- Econs remedial/maths revision
thurs/fri/sat -- maths tutorials X 6/ revise econs & phys
sunday -- more econs
wish me luck... outlines are rarely adhered to :(

one more thing, was last friday the start of a holiday?
my clsmates said it was and we ended up playing n eating n enjoying...
BUT i felt it was like any other weekends, have to start mugging... i actually felt kinda depressed thinking abt the upcoming mug fest... :(
thankfully was reminded that it's the start of a very very short holiday. but reality knocks again.
